Plenty of groups default to booking two cars, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But it’s worth knowing what you’re choosing.

Which Terminal You Need

Manchester Airport now has two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 closed permanently in November 2025, and the former T1 entrance was rebranded as Terminal 3 Departures in March 2026.
Terminal 2 handles the large majority of flights. Terminal 3 is primarily Ryanair, plus a number of short-haul and domestic routes.
If your booking still says Terminal 1, your flight has moved. Check your airline’s app or your boarding pass, and give us your airline when you book. The airline tells us the terminal, and it’s more reliable than an older confirmation email.

Coming home is worth booking at the same time as going out.

For a group this matters more than for one passenger. Eight people waiting in arrivals after a delayed flight is a lot less comfortable than one, and a collection planned around an outdated landing time is how that happens.
One thing to know in advance: vehicles can’t collect passengers from the terminal forecourt, which is reserved for drop-offs and is camera enforced. Collections take place in the airport’s designated pickup areas, and your driver will confirm the meeting point with you.
